1966 Seiko 6206-8070 "Weekdater"

1966 Seiko 6206-8070 "Weekdater"

$0.00

Seiko's "Weekdater" line up from the 1960's offer some of the cleanest layouts and appealing designs to come out of era. Mid-century modernity and minimalism that's just as relevant today as it was when they were introduced more than 50 years ago. The 8070 is no exception, and perhaps one of the best examples of the "less is more" approach to this design. Other than the applied Seiko logo, there are only two lines of text gracing the lacquer finished, silvery sunburst dial. The markers are subtly detailed, and the beveled dauphine hands are crisp and perfectly proportioned. The case lacks a bezel for a truly seamless appearance, and the long and lean lugs are the convergence of five separately finished surfaces. From May of '66, this example is incredibly well preserved, and is as dependable as it is versatile.
