Seiko's UFO Sport Divers from the late 60's and 70's offer big and bold diver styling with pounds of vintage appeal. The UFO moniker comes from the “saucer” shaped style of the case, and it has long been a favorite of vintage seiko collectors. This example from June of ‘74 is an absolute stunner, sure to earn a regular spot in any rotation. It is extremely well preserved with a minty chocolate brown dial boasting crisp markings and bright white luminous markers. The rotating inner bezel is a glossy black "count up" style that rotates freely in either direction via the crown. Lengthy polished batons make for ease of legibility, and the bright orange sweep can’t be missed. The factory circular brush finish on the case is still visible, and it’s topped with a polished edge bezel with flat black inlay. The original bracelet is in tow, and with a wide block style link and beefy hinges, it adds tons of vintage character. It’s completely original aside from a replacement mineral crystal, and the 6119C driving the hands is keeping near perfect time post service. Versatile appeal and a work horse calibre come together in a classic sport diver that’s as robust as it is reliable.
