1977 Seiko 6139-7100 Automatic Chronograph "Helmet/ Storm Trooper"

1977 Seiko 6139-7100 Automatic Chronograph "Helmet/ Storm Trooper"

$0.00

This rarer white dial variant of the 6139-7100 gets it's own Lucasian moniker, as its often referred to as the "Storm Trooper." Nicknames aside, this example from March of ‘77 is an awesome looking chronograph, and one of my personal favorites as a bit of a minimalist. The black on white dial is full of stark contrast, and laid out with great balance. At it's edge is the matte silver tachymetric chapter that's steeply set, and offers tremendous depth. The beveled mineral crystal plays perfectly with the overall angular appearance, and seamlessly blends into the conical bezel. The case appears to have been lightly polished at some point, however, the corners and edges are still nicely defined and portions of the original finishes are still visible. In addition, it comes attached to the original Z050S “Fishbone” bracelet. The 6139 behind the dial offers crisp chronograph functions, and is keeping near perfect time post service. Overall, its a solid example that’s sure to be enjoyed for many years to come, and at a bargain price.
